With this basic infrastructure, we want now to establish a SCHOOL\u00a0OF MUGHAL ARCHITECTURE at Delhi or Jaipur, to teach and train the young\u00a0scholars through the following academic courses :<\/span><\/p>\n

    Six months’ Diploma course in Mughal Architecture<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Three Years’ Doctoral Degree\u00a0(Ph.D.) in Mughal
    \nArchitecture<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Two Years’ Post-Graduate Degree Course in Mughal Architecture<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    We will try to get affiliation for these courses with some
    \nprestigious University in India, Germany, UK or USA.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Hitherto, we have been largely working on our own resources. But,
    \nfor land and building, we depend on financial support by
    \neducational, philanthropic and other bodies, and persons who like
    \nand admire our work and who want to support this intellectual and
    \nacademic cause for the establishment of this Center of Learning for better understanding and appreciation of\u00a0this marvellous\u00a0Architectural Heritage.<\/p>\n


    \nLibrary<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    We already have a library needed for higher study and research in
    \nthis discipline, in the following sections :<\/p>\n

    1. \n

      Sanskrit\u00a0Architectural Texts (on
      \nVastu<\/i> and Silpa<\/i>) and translations<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    2. \n

      Persian histories\u00a0of the medieval period from 1000 to 1707 A.D. (texts and\u00a0translations)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    3. \n

      Accounts of\u00a0Foreign travellers who visited India during the medieval period<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    4. \n

      Sanskrit and\u00a0Hindi literary works of the medieval period<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    5. \n

      A.S.I\u00a0Publications including\u00a0Epigraphia-Indo-Moslemica<\/i> and\u00a0<\/span>Epigraphia-Indica<\/i> (Arabic and Persian Supplement) series\u00a0volumes on Medieval Persian epigraphy and other related works<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    6. \n

      Criticial Works\u00a0on Art-History (beginning with Fergusson, 1835-45) including the\u00a0prestigious MARG volumes; and
      \n<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    7. \n

      Professor R\u00a0Nath\u2019s own works, viz. 65 books, 13 monographs, 190 Research\u00a0Papers, 300 popular articles and 51 selected reviews and\u00a0rejoinders (and his numerous unpublished manuscripts), which\u00a0constitute a solid bedrock for the study of this subject.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      We are now\u00a0planning to expand this library to the Institutional level to\u00a0provide complete references in this discipline.<\/span><\/p>\n


      \nPersian Inscriptions of Mughal Architecture<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

      We have collected Persian Inscriptions of Mughal Architecture.
      \nTheir Persian texts are given in Naskhi<\/i> or Nastaliq<\/i> as they are,
      \nalong with standard English translations. Their site-wise sets are
      \nunder preparation.<\/p>\n
